Random thoughts
This week is very tiring. I can't believe Samba chocos could make me lose blood. Hehe..plus the ever growing numbers of requirements. One prototype down. After the sleepless nights pinabaklas samin as soon as it was checked. Kaiyak habang tinatanggal namin sa breadboard. Nkalimutan ko pang picture-an man lang. Hehe.
Lope ate at Chowking. When asked his name, he said Lope. Confirming it, the crew asked it to be spelled out. He said "El- o - pi - i". Finally, he had a receipt having his name spelled LOMI. Ahahaha!!!
Parang sira. HUhu... hays.. I want siomai. siomai. siomai
Someone told me madami pa daw akong pwedeng gawin sa buhay ko. I said I know. Yun lang nasabi ko when I wanted to say much. Coz sometimes, you just have to stop talking.
Madami naman talaga at alam kong may kakayahan ako. Pero kasabay ng kakayahan is my right to choose. I am happy with what I have and what I do now. And it doesn't mean that I'm stopping from dreaming for something better. It's just that I don't want to be overwhelmed by what the future has nor do I want to be drowned by the past. Masama ba to live in the present? At ang present ko ay....the very reason why I want to live what the present holds.
My granny visited a while ago and she kept on calling Roti , Doroti.
Daya.
Ouch ouch ouch...
Moving onwards...
The world doesn't stop when we stop.
Gusto ko talaga ng Siomai.

isa pa
Last term, I realized how dependent students have become to Old Testaments (OT’s are a student’s old quizzes, seat works, reports given repeatedly by some professors). It’s not that I’m exempting myself. In fact, I confess that OT’s have saved me for a number of times last term. What I am saying is that just like any other valued thing in this world, OT usage somehow is on the abused line. It’s really okay to use them as long as we understand them, as long as we take time reviewing them. But merely memorizing them like AABBCDADBC is another thing. Once we get outside, there’ll be no more OT’s. And I myself am scared to get outside not so confident of my skills. The number figures we would have later on in our transcripts could be questionable, not maybe by professors or by employers but by ourselves. We should not let one day come that we would question our own skills and our own licenses. Let’s consider it a sin against our being engineers if we graduate not knowing how to use breadboards.
During school days especially during hell weeks, seldom that I am left in the kitchen to prepare something edible for the family coz usually, I am left there just to put something in my mouth for basic human survival. Hehe. So most of the time, I take advantage of the free one week between terms to do something very different from circuits and papers. The first day usually is for me to gather up all the paper works of the past term, have them compiled, organized and stack neatly on my cabinets. After that is saying goodbye temporarily to my usual life and there go for lighter and sweeter things such as cooking with my mother, watching movies with the whole family, laughing and chatting with my them and friends, visiting my granny, cousins and other relatives, just walking around at night, eating with and just sitting beside Kitkot without thinking of reports after, sleeping!!!!, thanking God for such a wonderful time to relax for a while, etc. How I love simple things.

end of term
Natapos rin ang isang napakanakadudugong term. Na as in e nakakadugo..sooper..pramis. Ahaha! Well maybe I should say nakapagsusukang term. Hehe. Speaking of, I just had a very nauseating finals day. Konting oras na lang
Mapuans’ one week of vacation starts. After which, another term will begin and thus a new battle. Ahaha!
This term, I met several people:
Descartes
‘ diskarte’ These are the people whom you’ll salute for a remarkable sense of diskarte; those whom you’ll hug and kiss because you won’t have to tell them what they have to do. Their instinct is to survive and they naturally just know how to do and why they should do it. I should say they are smart people because they have common sense. They don’t waste their brain ..they just don’t. Haha!
Dependents
These are the people who will see you in your most wasted appearance due to sleepless nights because of your group project and will just look at you like they don’t notice your exhaustion at all. When your patience is in its one-inch state, believe me, you’ll learn how to kill humans. Haha!
Advice: Be responsible. Ang la-laki na…malaki pa rin. <Anu daw??>
Quitters
These are the people who are brave to start things but are not brave enough to finish them.
(one liner lang..wala akong masabi e…nakakalungkot kasi)
Advice: Shit happens in life. And when it does, it’s not yet the end unless you end it yourself.
Power trippers
These are the people who are in the places having a power to manipulate people and to do that is of course an abuse of power. But it’s just one of the flaws of the world. If your friends with them, it’s to your advantage I guess. But if you’re enemies, you’re dead. If you don’t know them, make the good out of your life. Hehe.
Advice: Don’t…
Ahaha!!..ayun lang.. don’t..ahahaha
Lifelines
These are the people whom you can call on to at times you need them the most. When you are freaking tired and you don’t know what to do at all, you gotta know your lifelines. They are there not for you to abuse but to feel blessed about because they are good people.
Advice: Be prepared all the time. Ahaha! You don’ know exactly when help is needed. Haha.
Inspiration and Perspiration
Inspirations are the people who will get your feet moving all the time and tasks are as easy as ever when you have them on your mind. Perspirations are those you just wanna sweat out of your system because they are like too much bad bacteria ruining your inside.
Advice: Ayusin natin buhay natin.

Philippine food crisis stirs debate on birth control
Philippine food crisis stirs debate on birth control
By BRUCE WALLACE
MANILA, PHILIPPINES -- Ask Josephine Gonzalez how many children a family
should have and the thin 31-year-old mother answers without hesitation.
"I only wanted three," she says, trying to soothe the naked baby boy
who tugs at her ragged dress.
But Gonzalez is, in fact, a mother of six. Her sister Angie Maquiran,
two years older, has seven children. Together with the fathers, the
pair are raising their families in a public park across the street from
one of Manila's oldest Roman Catholic churches, sleeping on the ground,
their possessions stuffed into a small cart that marks where home is.
Maquiran says the priests at the church tell her, "Children are riches,
and the more you have, the more blessed you are." But health officials
and some politicians here say that the Philippines has too many poor
mouths to feed, an overpopulation problem that condemns millions of
children to poverty.
Population size is an issue of perennial debate in this predominantly
Catholic country, which has seen its population jump to 92.5 million
from 60 million in 1990. But the situation has become more acute amid
this year's global food crisis. With the price of rice soaring, the
poorest Filipinos are faced with spending more of their minuscule
incomes on food or going hungry.
Some blame church
Critics lay some of the blame on the family-planning policies of
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, who has sided with the church in its
campaign against any form of artificial birth control.
"Those of us who study population have seen this food crisis coming for
30 years," says Dr. Alberto Romualdez, head of the graduate school of
health at the University of the City of Manila and a health secretary
under former President Joseph Estrada. "Already these people couldn't
buy enough rice. Now we are having more babies born to those who can
least afford it, and unfortunately one of the main reasons is the
Catholic Church."
The church rejects that its anti-contraception activism is responsible
for the high birthrate, citing the 2007 census, which showed the rate
of annual population growth dropping to 2.04 percent last year from
2.36 percent in 2000.
"We accept that the growing population is a problem, but the facts are
that when a country is poor, you will have more children," says Msgr.
Pedro Quitorio, spokesman of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the
Philippines.
"We had almost the same number of people this time last year and there
was no rice crisis then," Quitorio says. "Give people a job and the
population will drop."
Church blames attitudes
The church successfully has fought to end campaigns by nongovernmental
organizations to distribute free contraceptives and advice about
artificial methods of birth control.
Although wealthier Filipinos can obtain contraceptives through private
clinics, the main program for free contraceptives run by the U.S.
Agency for International Development is being phased out by year's end
on government orders, raising fear that the birthrate will jump when
stocks run out.
So far, Arroyo has shown no inclination to change her government's
policy of urging natural family planning. And church leaders claim that
attitudes toward sex, not a lack of condoms, are the reason for the
higher birthrate among the poor.
"It is stretching the imagination to say our teachings have that much
effect on people," Quitorio says. "The people have their own religion.
Even if you dropped a batch of condoms in the barrios it wouldn't make
a difference, because sex is recreation for the poor.
"They have no TV, no movies, they don't read," he says. "They have
guitars and they drink. And when they drink, condoms have no place."
On the streets, the father of Gonzalez's six children laughs and agrees
with the priest. The only time men here use a condom, Edwin Lihay-lihay
says, is when they are having sex with a prostitute and fear they'll
contract AIDS.
Battle for information
Others say that the debate over which came first, the poverty or the
overpopulation, is a distraction from the public health issue.
"Look, I'm not so sure we have too many people," says Sen. Chiz
Escudero, a popular young politician often cited as a possible 2010
presidential candidate.
"Other countries have controlled their population growth and ended up
with a problem of aging populations.
"Good for them. They're rich and they can hire Filipino nurses to look
after them.
"But we need to frame this debate as one of access to information, " he
says. "Governments have a duty to inform their people about health
issues and choices. What if a Muslim woman here wants to learn how to
protect herself from getting pregnant? The Catholic Church can't tell
the government it is not allowed to give her health information. "

very large amount of time together or
space things out a tad?
- uhmm... Of course it would be really nice if you are together for a lot of times to get to know each other, to love each other more, to ano pa ba?? But of course, there are times that you have to give space to each other din...para naman mamiss nyo ang isa't isa..pero dapat yung communication constant a..
Have you ever found yourself worrying
about commitment?
- oo..ahahahaha!!
When involved with a person, do you
try to think about the here and now or
do you often think of the future?
- It's nice to think of anything with the both of you together in it. So be it the present, the future or whatever,,as long as it holds you as a couple,, that's sweet.
How do you feel when your mate is mad
at you and won't tell why?

Have you ever gotten back together
with someone after breaking up?
